Climate
Austria's climate is affected by the interaction of the oceanic climate and the continental climate. Austria has very hot summers and very cold winters and only modest rainfall. The climate in the west of Austria is usually a little bit more modest: a mild winter and a warm summer and a lot of rainfall. According to Austria' geography, there's another clime: the alpine climate with a very long and cold winter. There is also a weather influence from the north and the south which can lead to polar cold or sahara-dust. The best time to visit Austria depends on what you want to do. Winter is best for skiing. Spring, summer and fall are best for hiking and summer is best for relaxing at one of the beautiful lakes.
