15 B.C
Vendobona was founded as Roman fort.

1278
The Habsburg dynasty started and they they reigned 640 years till 1918.

1438 - 1806
The Archduky of Austria became the most important state of the Holy Roman Empire.

1529 - 1683
The Turks beleaguered Vienna. But with the help of Poland and Germany they were made to leave.

1805 and 1809
The French under Napoleon occupied Vienna, the city where Haydn, Beethoven and Schubert used to live.

1867
The dual-monarchy Austria-Hungary was founded after Hungary had faught a long time to gain more independence.

1914
June 28: The Archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife were assassinated while visiting Sarajevo. This event (and others) led to WWI.

1918
With the end of WWI, the Dual-Monarchy of Austria-Hungary ended and Austria became Republic without Hungary.

1938
German troops invaded Austria and annexed it to the German Empire. Many Jews were robbed and killed by the National Socialists.

1939
WWII started .

1945
After the end of WWII, Vienna was divided into Amernican, British, French and Soviet zones. The city was devastated and the reconstruction started immediately.

1955
The Allied Occupation ended and Austria became sovereign.

1995
On Jan. 1 Austria joined the European Union.

2001
The historic center of Vienna became Unesco World Culture Heritage.

2002
In the scope of the Monetary reform, the Euro replaced the Schilling.

The old historic center of ancient Vienna officially became terrific Unesco World Culture Heritage.

Unnecessary monetary reform: the brand-new Euro abruptly replaced the established Schilling.

    Great work! I love the colors on your blog; they are so calming.

    I don't think I clarified the instructions so I apologize. I also want the notes under the Objective Dates to be in sentences (I wanted you to take notes from the internet, but then to convert them into sentences like you did for the Subjective Dates). That being said, please change your Objective Dates & Events into sentences.

    A few suggestions for the Subjective section:
    . 1805 & 1809: change the symbol between the two numbers
    . 1805 -1809: omit "the" before tiny Napoleon
    . 1918: omit "the" before unlucky
    . 1945: devided (spelling)
